Calgary’s Millennium park is Canada’s largest skate park, and one of the largest in all of North America. This concrete park offers several different sections, each built to suit a particular style. There’s the transition park, complete with massive clover bowl, full pine and spine mini section with box jumps. The plaza section focuses on flat banks, pyramids, hips, ledges and rails, and the “beginner” section, which offers tamer version of obstacles from both parks. Each section is colour coded, visible from the aerial shots. The transition section lined with red, the plaza section yellow, and the beginner section with green. There is enough in this park to last hours, and located downtown there’s street to be found nearby.

The park is located in Shaw Millennium Park next to the downtown core’s western side. The park can be accessed via 9 Ave SW & 11 St SW. There is pay parking available in a lot to the north and to the west of the park off of 11 St SW. The park is also easily accessible via the CTrain, with a station located beside the park.
