One of the coolest park designs in Canada, this one should be on your must visit list if you’re in Southern Ontario. Located beside the Welland Canal’s shipping lanes, the park was designed around the shape or large cargo ship hull, complete with pole jam bow. Beyond the design and shape of the park, the park transitions from deep bowl with multiple hips and lines, into a centre section of flat banks that drops down into a plaza. There’s something in this park for everyone, whether you want to get tech, or flow around as fast as humanly possible.
Located between Mellanby Ave and the Welland Canal, this one has parking available in Lock 8 Gateway Park to the north, but requires a slight walk over to the park. Parking is also available along Mellanby Ave, although it does fill up on weekdays.
